They preoccupy themselves with the recitation of the Qur’aan. No doubt that the recitation of the Qur’aan is a glorious act, but the recitation of the Qur’aan has its own time. That one utilizes this time in making Du’aa and Dhikr is better, because the confined Duaa* in its proper time is better than making general Duaa (at any other time). As for the recitation of the Qur’aan then it is general, (meaning) it can be recited at all times. But this time (between the Adhaan and Iqaamah) should be allocated for making Duaa.
